I am now the lead Graphic Designer for What's Good YYJ, and started my own business, Cumberland Design Co.

My passion for not just visual design, but creation and client relations is what makes this work so valuable and worthwhile to me. Getting to support a business in a variety of not just consistent branding, but assisting them to build this strong, confident and unique image is part of the fun! I love a good story and thrive when I get to help tell yours!

My Story

I have always been fascinated with visual design but was not sure of what area of design I wanted to focus on. In 2020, I started working with What's Good YYJ, then an Instagram influencer account creating content for small businesses on Vancouver Island.

As What's Good YYJ grew into a media agency, we hired a Graphic Designer to complete a brand kit, style guide, business cards, and web design to match.

While reviewing the completed design documents, I became inspired and became intrigued with the idea of becoming a Graphic Designer arose, all the lightbulbs in my head finally started to light up.

I took the plunge and took a sabbatical from my provincial Government job, to go back to school and complete a Diploma in Graphic Design to facilitate this career change.

Experience

I specialize in Branding and Marketing, supporting entrepreneurs to bring their vision to life! I use Adobe Creative Suite programs such as Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign and XD to create a  visual brand identity that resinates with each businesses unique target audience.

My freelance work allows me to be available to you in a customized manner. I have had the pleasure of creating cohesive designs for all platforms rebranding work for large & small businesses alike.
